Eden Social Welfare Foundation takes its slogan - Move Freely in the World - very seriously.“We have invited Hideto Kijimak to ITF to share his cxperiences as a wheelchair - bound traveller in 88 countries, testing the accessibility of their attractions, transportation and facilities,"said senior officer Yu Ling.

Accessibility is a hot - button issue in the travel industry, with seniors and people with disabilities becoming a force to be reckoned with.
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau and the Ministry of Transportation & Communications is supporting Eden in its miission to make Taiwan a pioneer in Accessible Tourism.

Eden is working with travel industry partners including outbound travel agents and airlines such as EVA Air and Singapore Airlines. Domestically, it is working with Taiwan High Speed Rail among others to achieve its aim of promoting unrestricted travel for the elderly and the handicapped.

Taiwan's initiative to promote Accessible Tourism is welcoming news for wheelchair-bound travellers ... cheering with both arms in the air is Kijimak (fourth from right), specially invited to Taiwan to test and advise the authorities on how to improve accessibility for the handicapped.
